It's been a while between upgrades, but Version 2 is on its way and
due for a Dec 1 release! Since this is a TRUE .0 release, it is
liable to have a few bugs, so I'll be looking for early testers!

New in 2.0:

Almost a complete rewrite, takes advantage of PHP 5.3 enhancements.
Cleaned up menu structure.
Redefines Admin and non-Admin rights.
Ability to add and remove features during setup (i.e. add Chat, remove
Book Ordering, etc).
Much better Tuition module.
Smaller code footprint! (more features in less code)!

So hang on for the new release!

If you want to be an early tester, let me know!

Hi Doug,
Its been a while not hearing from you. But am so happy to hear from
you again and most importantly with good news about the new version. I
personally failed to use the current version due to many bugs and i
given up but now since there is a new version coming up soon. Then am
very excited about it and looking forward to test it.

And am looking forward to be considered among the first tester of the
new version

Otherwise thanks again for the continued effort put into this and i
know that with time, this project will be a success with of course our
support in future.

Regards,

Ronnie

Hello doug,

I'll like to be one of the early testers as I've waited endlessly for
the latest version.

Do keep the good work up...

Thanks you two!

Two fairly major changes I neglected to mention in my original post:

1.  Only available in English.  I used to maintain versions in English and German.  For those who want to continue the German version, you have my blessing to fork the program.
2.  All new forum.  Pretty stripped down right now, but at least it works all the time.  The other one worked once every 20 or so installations it seemed.

I will contact you both via email in the next week or so, I may just email you a tarball and you can go from there.

extra funtionality as an addition to the mamouth sis system we use. I

Stephen, glad to hear that you've been tweaking some code!
The Dec 1 version is almost ready to go out to beta.  It's quite a departure code wise from 1.09, though to the end user, the changes are barely noticeable.
I will definitely appreciate it if you would help out with the beta test as well!

Doug
