Hi,
I live in Glossop, Derbyshire and volunteer for Derbyshire Swift Conservation.
Last weekend I was in Cambridge for an event, staying at my friend’s house on Keynes Road. We heard swifts screaming overhead so went to look for them and found an active colony of about 20 swifts using the block of flats on Ekin Road, which is disused and set for demolition for a new housing development.
If there is anyone local who is able to contact the developer and the press asap, this would be much appreciated as I am so far away! (My friend is a busy headteacher in the middle of report writing…)
Thank you so much for your attention and help,
Rebecca Bridges

I have forwarded this to, hopefully, appropriate people in the council.
