Hi All
Future Homes Hub has announced today that 21 developers have signed a voluntary commitment to Homes for Nature which includes installing 1 nesting brick for every new home built. Together they build over 90,000 homes every year!
The initiative starts for planning applications from September and so those already in the planning process do not fall under the scheme, but it is still a huge step forward. Hopefully more and more developers will sign up and eventually including ‘integrated bricks’ will become routine………..well we can only hope!
For full details of the scheme and how it helps other species please see: https://www.futurehomes.org.uk/homes-for-nature
Kind regards
Camilla on behalf of the SLN Planning Group
