Hi all,

Here is a reminder of the templates for contacting ecologists that I mentioned earlier, which can be found in the SLN library (http://tinyurl.com/SLNlibrary )

As Cally pointed out you might not get many replies, but I think the message does filter through as I see more ecologists' reports being updated away from the old sparrow terraces etc.

All the best,

Mike

Hi all, a reminder that we have templates in the SLN library for ecologists - one for a specific report with room for improvement, and another for awareness raising.

You won't always get a reply but I do see an increasing number of reports referring to universal nest bricks (which the SLN started??) and building-dependent species etc. so word is slowly getting through.

You can also send any apparently poor reports to swifts....@gmail.com and we might have some advice or insight.

I gave a talk to Middlemarch Environmental - they even paid me to do it, so it could be worth offering that to your local ecologists. Middlemarch proposed the successful 78 Ibstock Swift Habitat bricks project at New Avenue N14, it was interesting to chat to them too.

The suggested templates are uploaded as Word documents to the SLN Library (http://tinyurl.com/SLNlibrary ), in the following folder:

"Planning Process"/ " Developers, Architects, Ecologists..."

For convenience, I have also attached the speculative template to this message, it's title is Template - Email Speculative to Ecologists v1 03 12 23

All the best,
