Hi All

An App has been developed for us all to trial this year. If it’s get quite a bit of use, we can then adopt it for future years. This app is for capturing swift nests in churches and other public buildings.  It started as a small project and although it is not as ‘smooth’ and easy to use as Swift Mapper, we feel it is still a handy tool to give us a picture of multiple swift/colony nesting sites across the country.

We think it best to keep within swift groups  because it contains more detail on each site and we would like to keep the records as accurate as possible.  Photos can be added to the information which hopefully you will find a useful tool as churches often need bespoke solutions…. and maybe the App will help persuade other churches to join in…..

The installation instructions are attached….

If you already have lots of records, you can set up a spreadsheet using the headings from the attached example, complete with your details, and return to the email address below.  We cannot upload them immediately but are hoping to do so a couple of times a year.

Fingers crossed the instructions are self-explanatory and that you will be able to find your way around……… it isn’t entirely intuitive so please bear with it and I’m sure you’ll get there!  If you really cannot fathom it out then you can email swiftch...@gmail.com and we will do our best to help, though we are still learning ourselves!

Kind regards

Camilla Barlow
