Action for Swifts: Recycled Water Pipe Swift Nestbox

Has anyone any experience of using recycled water pipe nest boxes on the Action for Swifts website?

All I can say is that the 12 or so that I know about have had Swifts in them for years (about 7 pairs). And they have not deteriorated. e.g these 5 had 2 pairs of Swifts plus House Sparrows when we last looked.

I still have some water pipe left over.
