Hi, I am having an issue with installing Swiftriver, I followed the
instructions here:

http://wiki.ushahidi.com/doku.php?id=swiftserversetup

But when I go to launch the Setup.php page I am receiving a blank page
with no further instructions.

I have verified php version, permissions to web dir, and repeating the
process with no luck.

Any additional help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sounds like your PHP configuration might have display_errors disabled:

http://www.php.net/manual/en/errorfunc.configuration.php#ini.display-errors

Do you perhaps have log_errors enabled? If there were any errors, you
might be able to retrieve them from the logfile.

Hi,

I am now getting the following error when attempting to access the
sweeper install URL

Database_Exception [ 1146 ]: Table 'kohana.plugins' doesn't exist
[ SHOW FULL COLUMNS FROM `plugins` ]

I have kohana setup in a /kohana dir in the directory of my sweeper
install...

Not entirely sure what exactly the problem is but seems like it's
somehow related to your database. Could you perhaps paste (on a tool
like pastebin) a list of the tables in your MySQL database?

Ok I got Sweeper installed and running, I have added some sources but
it does not seem to be updating its database with pulled content. I
have tried this on 2 separate machines, one behind a proxy and the
other not. I set the system up and let it run for about 25 minutes
but it does not generate any content. I just receive a sorry, nothing
to show when I click on new content.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hi
it looks like we are all in the same shoes - no way to have items pulled :(
AFAIK Charl suggested, in this list, to wait for the next version,
because it looks like the current one has this problem.
Or, another idea, could be to download a previous version, but which
is the last 100% working one?

thanks
P

I have tried with the latest version as well as version 0.3.1 and it
none are working... I do not know which version is the one which works
fully.

Thanks

Hello,

I've had this same problem. The thing is that, sweeper doesn't have an
installer yet. So you have to import the sweeper.sql to build all the
tables inside the mysql database that you created.
Once you've done that, your problem should be solved.

Please note that Sweeper has been deprecated. The replacement is the
upcoming SwiftRiver revamp - kindly see the following for more
information:

Does anyone know is this revamped version of SwiftRiver is coming out?

Thank you,
