Swiftp with 2.2 Froyo on an incredible

Hello,
I am using Swiftp on my Incredible with a stock, deodexed and rooted 2.2 froyo ROM. Swiftp worked without issue on 2.1 but now when I attempt to transfer I get 550 Invalid name or chroot violation. I can view folders and switch folders but cannot upload or download. Also when I try to just view it via firefox web browser I get the same error immediately after entering my username and password. I have tried changing ports but that does not resolve the issue. I am a computer support analyst so I am quite certain I am not doing anything wrong...stock settings do not work, as do normal settings. Again it worked fine before I upgraded to Froyo. I saw another post on here suggested that a reboot will resolve the issue but it did not. Please advise, is this a bug?
