Call for beta testers: SWHID reference implementation and testing harness

Dear all,

     After the ISO/IEC 18670 successful normalization, and the full rehaul of the swhid.org website, it's time to help adoption in practice.

To this end, two private projects on GitHub have been created:

• https://github.com/swhid/swhid-rs holding a reference Rust implementation distributed under a permissive MIT licence 
• https://github.com/swhid/test-suite holding a full test harness that is intended to provide help for any other implementation of the standard

We are now looking for volunteers interested to stress test this work, before we open the repositories to the world.

Anybody interested: 👉send your GitHub username to swhid...@softwareheritage.org by the end of this week (December 19th AOE).

Important dates:

• December 19th Anywhere on Earth (your time is the one that counts): send GH username
• January 9th: projects move to public status, without any public announcement
• January 28th: formal announcement during the Software Heritage symposium at UNESCO
