Dear SWHID Working Group,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to propose the submission of a session at the upcoming PIDFest Conference, scheduled to take place on June 11-13, 2024, in Prague, Czech Republic: https://www.pidfest.org/

As you may be aware, PIDFest is an international summit focusing on the role of persistent identifiers (PIDs) in enhancing research infrastructure. The event brings together stakeholders from various domains to discuss and tackle challenges related to PIDs, with the aim of accelerating research and innovation.

Given the relevance of SWHIDs in Academia, I believe that a session presented by members of the SWHID Working Group would be highly valuable to the PIDFest audience.

There are 4 possible formats and a possibility to suggest a format:
- Panel discussion (60 minutes, three or four participants)
- Presentation (30 minutes, maximum of two speakers)
- Interactive session, eg, Birds of a Feather (30 or 60 minutes)
- Lightning talk (5-10 minutes as part of a 60 minute session)
- Other - please specify in the session description

Submitting a session at PIDFest would provide an excellent opportunity for the SWHID Working Group to present the version 1.1 and get more adoption!

Please note that all speakers must be able to attend PIDfest 2024 in person and the deadline is short: February 23rd.

Would someone here interested by preparing a submission and presenting?
If yes, please let me know by Friday 16th 12:00 UTC.

Kind regards,

Dear all,

I'll be submitting a session for a 30 minutes presentation by today EOB.
Last call for volunteers to lead the session onsite.

Cheers,
