The menu option for the <object> is to do with the right click menu for the swf file, not playback controls. If you want functional playback controls, you need to :
a) use the Adobe playback controls inside the Flash IDE (which gets generated as a seperate swf file which you include with your main swf)
b) author your own playback controls with Actionsript
c) Use a pre-authored player such as Flow player or JW player and pass your video file as a parameter to is

So I used both content generator types and selected a couple of options including menu, which, as I understand it should show the player controls, i.e. a play/pause button, volume etc., but all I get is the swf file itself. I can play the file from the right click menu but where are the controls? Or do I completely misunderstand the menu option?
