I have a you tube video in mya page and just above it there is
navigation bar which contains drop down menu. The problem is my drop
down menu is hiding behind the you tube video. I have tried using z-
index and wmode transparent and opaques but it didnot work. Can any
body help me to bring the drop down menu on top of the you tube video?

wmode opaque (or transparent) and z-indexing your layers is the standard practice for setting depth.

You can check out a tut here:

Thanx for the help.

I tried positioning the wrapper div and the video div but still it is
not working. Still the video is on the top of all contents. I have
opaque wmode for the video and z-index=1 for the video wrapper and z-
index 999 for nav wrapper. The video is linked from you tube and it is
a Joomla project where I have embeded my video directly from
administrator section as an article.

Please do you have any more suggestion for me?.

Thank you in advance.

if you read the link Aran supplied, you will see that z-index is not the only CSS you need to specify.  the answers (and working example) are in that link.
