Hi everyone,
I'm pleased to announce that the SWF Activity Module is now out of
beta testing and is ready for production Moodle 1.9 sites. I've found
all the bugs I can and no-one has reported any significant remaining
problems with it. It may work on other versions but I haven't tested
it on those. Support for Moodle 2.0 will begin shortly after the first
stable build for production use is released.
The following features are fully functioning (for a full summary see
the SWF Activity Module project home page:
http://code.google.com/p/swf-activity-module/):
* Automatically creates Moodle grade book items to record users'
grades
* Pushes grades from Flash learning applications to Moodle's grade
book
* Supports external learning interaction data and media via XML
* Simplified access to moodledata course files directories
* Supports 3rd party web services API keys
* Supports Captivate CS4+ and other authorware screen recordings
that are a single SWF file (Does not push grades from SCORM based
quizzes)
* W3C standards compliant Flash embed method using SWFObject 2.x
* Flash Player version detection without express install to
accommodate users without administrator access on their operating
system
* Pushing grades from Flash learning applications to Moodle's grade
book
* Standardised connectivity and communication with Moodle's APIs via
AMF3 (Flash Remoting)
