F&F, let me confirm you that your piece of remembrance is correct, rather perfect.
There were 2 tentative days given on my mail dated 12th July, e.g. Collection of pending payment by 10th Aug followed by completion of audit by 20th Aug. (Thanks for the 3 days allowance). So, let's come to the collection part. Out of entire dues, till 19th of Aug we managed to collect 2.52 lacs. Out of the remaining amount, 45k would be coming by Sep end and balance approx 1.15 lacs we are expecting in a week or so. The following update is given to the new committee (Secretary and Treasurer) and one cheque of 1. 50 lacs have been handed over to the new committee members which accordingly got deposited to account today. Hence, I would still wait for the balance 3 payments to come before endorsing the account. But till then please consider the piece of provisional account signed, submitted and distributed on 17th July as the one would get audited since I have mentioned and repeatedly endorsed the fact of NIL scuenes over and above those figures. So, be rest assured ... nothing got forgotten neither quietly nor thru negligence. I feel its much better to complete the job silently on asap basis and then to endorse and propagate to forums and to rest of the world instead of giving hourly update / running commentary. I should not say mine (but basis present scenario I dont mind saying that as well) ... still its my obligation and responsibility mainly towards the present puja committee compared to anyone else to ensure that the committed money comes in ontime out of which pending payments can be made and balance funds can be used to mobilise the initial expenses (so that door to door collection method can be prevented)....which is being done judiciously, seriously and silently for sure.
For any further queries, please do let me know in person and please do ensure the following, if you dont mind.
a. Primarily, do address the mail to sherwood...@gmail.com since its still an active and official ID for lastvyear committee and being used for recovery and others. Post audit we will deactivate the ID. But still there are few genuine and serious stakeholders of last puja who access the same and can response you suitabley, faster than sherwoodians to whom you have addressed the same knowing that answer would be coming from few selected. Please do add my personal ID also since I being the main person behind all pending answers... Direct mails would reach straight and I have to simply do "reply all" instead of adding few other relevant IDs.
b. Forums are generally to let people know what's happening or not happening. But I found that you had a question on your mail and you were looking for an answer as well, hence answered you as the secretary of last years puja committee, not as sherwoodian. And if at all you have raised it to indirectly knock me or the others then please grant my mild and kind request (with respect)... You could have done it straightaway.... I think so as you have that access.

Dear Sherwoodians,
As far as I could remember,we were told that the last year's Puja Committeei.e Puja Committee
2015-16 would collect the outstanding dues by the 21st August 2016 and submit their final accounts duly audited.We are not aware of the correct position.The matter appears to have
been quietly forgotten .Somebody owes an explanation to us and faster it comes the better.
