Broadcastify Calls is different from regular broadcastify feeds as the calls platform captures every single call on a conventional or trunked system, as individual call files, and makes those calls available in real time and in archives. The Broadcastify Calls platform is not intended to replace regular Broadcastify audio streams at this time, but to supplement them, and we will eventually create Broadcastify audio streams from the Broadcastify Calls platform.

Many professions require colleagues to have open communication across large distances. To do so, they use radio broadcasting. Broadcastify is the leader in radio broadcasting for first responders, aircraft, and marine professionals. Although Broadcastify's standard version is free, you might want to know if a Broadcastify Premium free trial is available.

Premium subscriptions include a lot of desirable features, and free trials are a fantastic way to decide if the cost is worth it for you. Unfortunately, it is easy to forget to cancel free trials before they expire, which can lead to many unwanted charges on your credit cards and bank account.

It is reasonable to want to try out a service before you purchase it. Unfortunately, there is no Broadcastify Premium trial available. If you want to try Broadcastify, you can access the free version through their website or mobile device. The Broadcastify app is available on Apple App Store and Google Play.

If you decide you would like to upgrade your Broadcastify, you will want to know how much it will cost. Broadcastify has several price point options depending on the amount of time you commit to.

Although Broadcastify Premium doesn't offer a free trial, a lot of other memberships and subscriptions do. These free trials most often require a credit card to access. After the trial period ends, the credit card is charged if the subscription or membership hasn't been canceled.

Virtual credit cards are randomly generated card numbers that merchants accept for free trials. They are connected to your personal information but have no monetary value. If a merchant tries to charge the virtual credit card, they are declined. This keeps your cards safe from unwanted charges. Best of all, using a virtual credit card is simple.

DoNotPay is here to help you with just about anything. Your time is precious, and DoNotPay wants to help you keep as much of it as possible for the important things in life. From simple tasks like DMV appointments to staving off harassment, DoNotPay has your back. Here are just a few services DoNotPay has that will help make your life easier:

There is multiple way of doing this. If you are the admin of the repeater or have a way to have the owner do something for you, at no cost, but some time. The repeater could be streamed to broadcastify and you could monitor it by listening to the stream. That way you could feed from a cell phone or a computer the audio to a big amp/speaker system that you already have at home.

Another way, build yourself a node, without a radio, make it connect to the node you want to listen to by the *2(nodenumber) command and you then can stream that again to broadcastify and the rest you already know. The good side of that solution is that you could switch the repeater you are connected to on demand by using one of the dashboard available. So you would not be limited to only one feed like on the first solution. This could be run on a small vps that cost a few $ a month.

Next solution, have a node at home with a CM108 audio fob ( dont need to be a repeater adaptor ) make the node connect to the repeater you like, again by the dashboard you like, this could run in a small form computer like a raspberry pi or if you already have an old computer that do nothing, you could install the x86 image to it. (but dont do this in a VM because you need direct contact to the USB port of the computer) then feed the audio out of the cm108 fob to an amplifier and speaker setup of your choice.

Solution one, Pro: you dont get your hand dirty if you are not the one that do the setup, no cost, there are multiple how to on this. Con: you are stuck with that only feed. (but there are other feed available from Allstarlink also.

Solution two, Pro:you dont have to host the computer home, you can monitor on demand any of allstarlink repeater/node by using a dashboard, it is available 24/7. Con: it is not free. need to pay every month a small fee.

Solution three: Pro: You have the same variety of feed, you have the node at home, no need to use broadcastify (unless you want to have access to the feed outside your home). You can buy some already built node solution on the hardware side and some of those solution could accept a microphone to ptt back if needed. Con: Need to pay for hardware/electricity/internet connection, finding a cm108 usb fob can be tricky, but they are really not high price.

However I stumbled across this hunk of software called Proscan which looked interesting but it also costs $50. Where does the cost with this scanner end? Well, like most programs Proscan has a 30 day trial version so I gave it a shot. After playing with it for like an hour I knew it was worth the cost so I bought it. It does NOT disappoint.

The first thing you notice after connecting your software and launching Proscan is that it gives you an awesome virtual interface. Hell, that alone is worth the price of admission, especially when you are 55 years old and need cheater glasses to see your cheater glasses.

Look at the upper right hand corner of the pic above. It has the ability to input frequency easily. Not many folks know this but the SDS100 is basically a Software Defined Radio (SDR). It has a magnificent frequency range however there are some gaps, most notably around the US cellular frequencies.

Punch in 89.3 (or whatever your local FM station is) and BOOM, you got a $700 FM radio. It sadly does not do AM radio as I believe the frequency range starts around 25 MHz for the SDS100. Anyway with the easy input you can EVER SO EASILY type in a radio station, the NOAA weather channel, analog police, whatever. Yes you can manually input it on the radio but I found out that is cumbersome and not very intuitive to do. This is WAY easier. Cool feature.

Did you ever get an answer to this? I just bought an SDS200 and have it connected via ethernet cable to my local network so I can have the scanner in the living room, connected via powerline ethernet wireless extender(scanner plugged into one of the 2 ethernet ports) and I have proscan running in my office on my pc. I just disabled the disable on the scanner for ethernet, set for dhcp then located the IP in proscan and it worked. Took a little while to get the sound on my pc.

To hear CFA traffic, go to www.broadcastify.com/listen/stid/152 and select your region. Official CFA streams are identified by a white star inside a red circle. For those using smartphones, you may need to install a player from the app store. Be aware that some free apps might have time restrictions which will stop the streaming after several minutes.

Anyone listening via their mobile phone or tablet should keep track of their data usage to avoid the extra cost of exceeding their monthly data limit. The VFBV/CFA Joint Communications Committee has requested that CFA publish streaming rates and estimated data use per hour to ensure people can factor that into their decision to use the service.

This service is not designed to replace listening sets, but the streaming service will provide a convenient way to listen for those that prefer a smartphone or computer. The committee is still working very closely with CFA as they progress to tender, and will have news on listening sets very shortly.

Under the change, transmissions normally available in real-time by traditional radio scanners will be available only through an official online department feed offered through the free Broadcastifyservice. "Broadcastify presents us with the opportunity to focus on officer safety," said Melancon. "It also assists with interagency operability since many neighboring agencies are already under encryption."

Baltimore Police decided upon making transmissions delay by 15 minutes for public listening, citing officer safety. Melancon said there were previous instances where suspects have used live radio transmissions to hear police strategy and for purposes of evasion. Since 2021, the department's SWAT unit tactical communications has operated under transmission encryption, officials said.

FOX45 News asked other police agencies in the Baltimore area if their transmissions were delayed. The radio transmissions for Anne Arundel County, Baltimore County, and Howard County are not delayed by their police departments. Any delay on Broadcastify is introduced as the transmission travels over the internet, making the feed online near-realtime. Their feeds on Broadcastify are also not official feeds from those police agencies, whereas the ones from the Baltimore Police Department are official.

Radio transmission encryption has become an option law enforcement and emergency service providers nationwide have implemented, with many citing increased safety for personnel and to bring agencies up to recommendations from the Federal Partnership for Interoperable Communications (FPIC).

Interoperability is a communication method that allows agencies like the police department to communicate with other public safety agencies in real-time during emergencies. As the largest police agency in Maryland, the Baltimore Police Department was previously unable to interoperate with other local agencies because they used some of the most outdated radio equipment in the state, according to the department.

Melancon said, to meet the needs of interoperability, Baltimore Police had to upgrade its communications technology. That new technology, by design, has functionality that is too advanced to be received by traditional scanners due to its encryption capability. The Baltimore Fire Department has already operated a fair portion of its radio transmissions with encryption for the last few years, Melancon said.
