Whileuninstalling an app can sometimes fix issues, it often does more harm than good. If you're having trouble with Sketchbook, please we are begging you reach out to us at sup...@sketchbook.com before uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Android - uninstalling and reinstalling will delete your brush customizations, custom color palettes, your preferences, your Gallery organization, and any unsaved progress on an open canvas. Saved files will not be deleted by an uninstall/reinstall, you will be prompted to recover your Gallery after restarting the app.

iOS - WARNING! Uninstalling and reinstalling the app will delete everything including all your saved artwork. This data will not be recoverable without restoring your device from an earlier backup.

We are unable to update older versions of Autodesk SketchBook on desktop because the licenses are tied to Autodesk. These are still great apps though and you can continue to use them for as long as you like, however they cannot receive updates or bug fixes.

If you received Autodesk SketchBook as a pre-load on your Windows tablet, that version (5.x) was discontinued and cannot be redownload. Be aware that if your tablet is factory reset, the app will be deleted and cannot be reinstalled.

Hi, I changed my computer back in January 2020. Since then I can't use Sketchbook. It opens, then after a few minutes it freezes and just stops working. The problem seems to appear when I move my workspace to my tablet. I use a Wacom tablet Cintiq 22: DTK2260 and a DTH-A1300L.

I recently just switched from Mac to Windows after building a pc a month or so ago for heavier workloads and am having the same issue on my Windows computer. I can open Sketchbook fine on my main monitor, but as soon as I move the window over to my Cintiq and either enlarge or maximize it, Sketchbook freezes and only can be closed with Task Manager. If I attempt to open Sketchbook on my Cintiq to start, it freezes immediately and doesn't allow me to do anything.

I was looking for something to replace my old copy of Manga Studio 5 for sketching and inking, however sketchbook seems to have a problem freezing up on my second monitor. Here are the symptoms I've noticed so far.

HOWEVER, I was able to find a work-around, I set my Huion screen to be the main display and then I open sketchbook. I have to do this every time I want to use Sketchbook. A fix for this would be nice though.

I use Sketchbook Desktop 8.7.1.0 with Laptop(built-in touch screen + stylus) + secondary monitor (Wacom Cintiq 16 DTK1660K1D), Windows10 ver 2004. I use mainly Sketchbook on Cintiq 16 and when I press ALT key or select Exit menu, Sketchbook stop responding to any input (mouse pointer is working, but cannot open menu, cannot change input mode). I must save data before this situation and always use task manager to close Sketchbook.

Same problem here. Running Windows 10 w/ 3x monitors + Pen Display. it worked for about 1 hour before this behavior started. Now Sketchbook only wants to open on non-primary monitor which freezes it immediately. I have to turn off all monitors (except primary) just to get the program open and then I have to keep it there. Latest drivers across the board but still nothing. Uninstall/Reinstall - nothing.

Because the behavior is the same across all monitors & I was able to get it to work just fine (briefly), I don't think this has anything to do with the pen display being a Huion 16 (2021). Video card is a Quadro P4000.

SketchBook (64-bit) is a sophisticated digital art tool designed for artists, illustrators, and designers. This application offers a digital canvas where creativity meets technology, enabling users to transform their ideas into digital masterpieces.

SketchBook works with various file types, including Adobe Photoshop (.psd) files. This makes it great for professional artists who need to switch between different software without losing any details in their work. The layout of SketchBook is simple and effective. It uses a circular menu that keeps your screen clear of clutter so you can focus on your drawing. You can hide tools you don't need and bring them back when you do, which helps keep things neat.

Using SketchBook is easy, whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting. It feels very natural, almost like drawing on real paper. This is because it uses the sensitive pressure features of drawing tablets and high-end tablets, which mimic the effects of real drawing tools. The functionality of SketchBook is broad and versatile. It offers an array of drawing tools and brush types that are highly customizable, providing artists with the freedom to tailor their tools to fit any specific project needs. Features like layers, blend modes, rulers, and brush customization contribute to its capability to handle everything from simple sketches to complex, multi-layered artwork.

For those interested in animation, SketchBank includes tools to make flipbooks and animations. It also has a screenshot tool that lets you take snapshots of your work, add notes, and use them in presentations or meetings. This version of SketchBook is best for people using Windows computers with drawing tablets. It works well with the extra power of 64-bit systems, which means it can handle detailed and intensive art projects smoothly.

You can download SketchBook for free from its official website, and it offers a lot of features right out of the box. If you need more advanced features, a paid subscription option unlocks even more tools.

Hello,

recently, while using my sketchbook software I wanted to open a sketch I made, but then the software couldn't open it for some reason. It showed the loading bar without loading in my sketch and after a while it crashed and closed me out of the software. I tried to restart my computer and to uninstall and reinstall the software, but it was no use, it still can't open and load in any sketch I want to open. However, the software works perfeclty fine itself and for all the tools.

Could someone please help me solve this problem as fast as possible. Sketchbook is a really reliable simple and efficient tool for me, I would be heart broken if it would not work anymore.

Now it's even worse than yesterday. I can load in sketches by loading one, and when the frozen loading bar shows up I load in another sketch. It then loads in the first sketch I choose but it won't draw on it, instead it will draw on the gliched sketch I used to load in the other one, and the sketch I want to draw on is completely frozen. I can't use the eraser or draw on it (for example), since it will draw on the other gliched sketch.

Again, David.lau knows the problem and have already told the dev team. Deleting cache or app, reinstall, or do anything do nothing. The problem doesn't came from your Surface, device or Win10. It comes from the 5.0 update. Nobody can open, load or do anything on the UWP since the last update. The 5.0 update is broken. You have in fact three solutions :

So I've been very happy hearing about how sketchbook is now free and will soon be getting a drawing tablet so I can start doing digital art. I have a pc and I tried installing Autodesk sketchbook on the Microsoft store but I couldn't open it. Apparently I needed to have specific requirements on my pc for me to open the sketchbook app.

Microsoft Store won't download apps to a Windows 10 PC (64) for a lot of people. Makes no sense but I can not download anything from the Microsoft Store. I click on "Get It" and nothing happens. This has been going on for ages despite multiple emails to Microsoft and 1000's of user complaints. Very frustrating.

Thanks Leo. Didn't know what AVA was (have since found out). I was able to download Sketchbook through an alternate download site that bypasses Microsoft Store (thankfully). All's good now. Just love Sketchbook. Thanks again for taking the time to help out.

Are the sketches in your cloud web editor sketchbook linked to and therefore synced from your local computer? Or is the only way to have the latest version of something you did on your computer to copy and paste into the online editor? You're not able to reupload because it says there is already a sketch of that name. The two are clearly linked because you can see sketches from web and local from within the IDE on the computer. If this is not a feature, then why are they connected, and why not is it not a feature?

As seen in the below attached screenshot, all I have options to do are download, open in cloud editor and to share. There is no option to push the current version of the code from the local computer to the cloud.

This is because you have never pulled the remote sketch. Click the icon with the cloud that has a downward pointing arrow to pull the sketch. Once you have done that, you will be able to open the remote sketch in Arduino IDE, edit it, then push the changes back to the Cloud Sketchbook.

So I had to take a new sketch on my computer, upload it to the webeditor, then download it from the remote sketchbook on my computer back to my computer to give me the option to then reupload it if I make changes on my computer.

This is not necessary. Even though it is not mentioned in the tutorial, starting with Arduino IDE 2.0.2, you can create remote sketches in Arduino IDE. Simply click the big "NEW REMOTE SKETCH" button you see at the bottom of the Remote Sketchbook or select File > New Remote Sketch from the Arduino IDE menus.

Try refreshing the browser window that has the sketch open in the Arduino Web Editor. If you have the sketch open in the browser at the time you push from Arduino IDE, it will not be automatically refreshed in the browser even though the change was pushed to the copy of the sketch in the Cloud sketchbook.
