Dear Oyebiyi Ife,

For your first question : on the cost, it is similar but the yield can be different depending on variety and growing conditions.

2. I am from Madagascar. Certain varieties of OFSP are more yield than white flesh varieties.

3. It depend on varieties

Best regards

The key value of OFSP:
1. High in Vitamin A
2.. Once promoted due its value, it become economical since it is sold at high price as compared to whitefleshed. In Kagera region of Tanzania, one tin of OFSP is sold at 7,000 Tshs against 5,000.00 Tshs of white fleshed sweetpotato.
3. Good for processing and easily processed into various products as compared to whitefleshed
4. On the yield it depend on varieties. Not strictly that OFSP are yielding higher than whitefleshed one
