Don't know why, but I have been very restless, tonight- seems like I
have waken up nearly every hour, to see that it has only been an hour,
since the last time I peeped at the clock. *sigh*
I finally got up about 3:30AM, and fixed a cup of hot cocoa. In an
hour or so, I should start feeling sleepy, and can take a nap.
In the meanwhile, I have thought some more on a stitching tool, that I
have made.
I am not the inventor- I first saw the 'Thread Picker' at the LNS that
the GTG met at, last month.
I remember seeing the Thread Picker, and thinking, ''what a great
idea!', but I thought that the string of beads, though pretty, would
get in my way. So I came up with another way of making one.
So far, I LIKE it! Have used it several times, this week, and I am
impressed with it. LOL
NOW, if I can just come up with the things that I need, to make more
of them, I will offer them on my website. :^D
But, before I do that, I am thinking of having a contest, to hand out
a couple of these for 'testing'.
So if you think you might use a Thread Picker as a stitcher's tool,
get ready to enter a drawing for one.
We are having some HOT days, this week, and yesterday, I spent, mostly
working on a XS design, then just sitting in front of the TV, in the
evening. ALL the fans in the house, were going.
I had hopes that it would stay cool, but the evening became very warm.
I went out and gave all my flowers, a good watering, then grabbed a
handful of drier sheets, my glasses, and my novel, to spend a while
reading out in my lawn swing.
I was NOT out there very long!!
The mosquitoes are very bad, this year, and despite the drier sheets
(supposed to keep mosquitoes from biting) stuck in various places (one
under each bra strap, one on my head, one between my toes, and several
just laying near me), I got bit! ARG!
Somehow, our mosquitoes don't know that drier sheets keep mosquitoes
away!
Other news in the Childers' household-
DS's transmission went out on his car, so we loaned MY car to him, so
he can get back and forth to work. This, JUST as I was getting used
to knowing that I could jump in MY CAR and run errands, when I want to
(depending IF I had gas in the tank. LOL). So, I feel trapped at
home now, and can think of a half dozen things that I 'need' to run to
town for. *sigh*
Our gray Tiger kitty, 'Tiger', was somehow wounded, the other night,
and I had to take her to the vet for stitches.
She seems to be doing fine.
She has bright pink threads holding her together, and a yucky looking
tube sticking out of her, and we have to keep her in the house (she
darts for the door every time it is opened!), and give her
antibiotics, daily.
But she is going to be fine.
The wedding plans are going well- DD called the other day to say that
she and Matt were amazed that there isn't much left to do to be ready
for the big event.
I have decided that we can't afford for me to have a new outfit, so I
will just wear one of the dresses that I already have.
I know that Angela will be upset, and I don't know weather to tell her
ahead of time, or wait until she sees me at the wedding.
What do you think?
I don't want her to be disappointed and ashamed, but there is nothing
I can do about it.
And, as all eyes will be on her and Matt, I don't think anyone is
going to notice me, anyway. LOL
SIL, Reenie, was supposed to go visit her sister for a couple weeks,
this month, but that was canceled, and hopefully, she will get to go
next month, or as soon as the sister is settled into a new house.
Well, that is all I can think of at the moment, and probably a LOT
more than you wanted to know, anyway, so I will sign off and go take
my nap.
