Casey wanted me to post my mission statement for the SWE outreach
program so here's what I had so far (simple rough draft):

Mission Statement

Our mission is to reach out to high school and middle school students
and teachers in the form of presentations and interactive projects
that are educational about the application of their mathematics and
science curriculums in the various engineering fields. Our goal is to
simply increase awareness about engineering as another great option
for a college major and future career.

Feel free to add or edit :)

Here's mine (based on software, but maybe a couple sentences can be integrated into the outreach statement)

Nevada has a expressed an interest in software-based learning systems, our organization would like to play a role in their integration into the classroom. The intention of this organization is to provide Washoe county schools with access to a progressive learning environment. Training for teachers needs to be provided as well as demonstrations for students. We intend to provide training conferences for teachers, demonstrations, hardware to be installed in the schools, and licensing for software.
As an organization dedicated to providing cutting edge educational tools, we will be able to introduce a variety of learning systems from which the individual instructors will be able to choose. We need to have the ability to diversify, with a focus on providing training for all the software propagated by the organization.

We intend to be familiar to the Washoe County Schools before the start of the fall semester, helping teachers actively integrate NCLab into their classrooms as well as hosting and encouraging middle and high school students to experiment with science themselves. Our organization will support after-school programs for scientific development, and work with the school system in order to improve student involvement.
