The IT Professionals meet
The IT Professionals meet held on 4th NOV 2006 was an overwhelming success. Thank you Software professional you have sacrificed your weekend and truly to a noble cause. The Performances of the children as you might have noted stand testimony to the amount of work happening at Seva Bharathi.
The children that Sang the Vandemataram were from the  VAIDEHI ASHRAM an Affection home for destitute Girls at Saidabad. And the the presentation on the Sewa Activities is a collage of activity presentation. The following performance was by the Child Ramanjaneyulu a Visually challenged boy from the Govt Blind hostel (Dar-ul-shifa) who sang the ANNAMACHARYA keerthana so melodiously that the audience were spell bound, the next in store is the Childlabour theme presentation by the children of the Child labour Rehabilitation center in Mahaboobnagar (Palamoor) the theme song asking the child labourers to get back to school and leave the work.
The next is a wonderful Bharatanatyam performance by Kumari Rama again from the VAidehi Ashramam. The last performance was by the Children of the bridge school who were child labourers a couple of years ago and now topping their school on par with the reggular students. They performed KOLATAM a folk dance on the song from the famous devotional film SRI RAMA DASU.
The most touching thing is the experience sharing by a Young  boy from Karimnagar who has reached MBBS from the poverty, He dreams of being an ideal doctor and dreams can never go wrong. Especially if they are backed by a commitment. The Boys parrents work as daily labourers even today. The boy dreams of giving a satifactory life to his parrents as well as the society around him.
Here are a galaxy of Photographs that give a glimpse into the activity.
