Hi all,
I am a novice ArcSWAT user. I have run the Lakefork example problem
several times, changing some of the inputs to see model effects. I
have also constructed a complete run of my project data without
errors, although output.std only had my first Julian day with mostly
zero values. I was using 30 min precip data for 2 years. I was told to
try using daily precip. With daily precip, I have no errors throughout
the model construction but during the run it says
SWAT run NOT successful.

I followed the procedure to debug the problem with the following
results.

SWAT2005

I then went to the slr.slr file and found that for wnd, slr, and hmd
the year and julian date are missing for the last half of the 317 day
run. All of the original files include the dates.

I have been through all of the posts and do not see this problem. If
anybody has any information on this, I would appreciate it.

Cheers,
Chris

Darren,
I opened my *.pcp, *.tmp, *.slr, *.hmd, and *.wnd files in the
txtinout directory. I noticed that at a certain time the dates were
not there. I then manually added these dates into the missing
locations using a text editor like UltraEdit. I then simply ran SWAT
and it was successful. I did not rewrite the files or I would have
ended up with the same problem.

Since then, I went through all of my weather data files and cleaned
them up and now SWAT accepts them correctly when I write the file. I
would suggest really spending some time and making sure each of these
is correct. I don't have the right precision when I use Excel 2007 to
convert to .dbf but it seems OK. Everything else is right though
including the timesteps. I also added -99.0 for all points where there
is missing data. I think that SWAT has an easier time when you prepare
the files properly.

Are you running daily timesteps? I am having problems now with
subdaily.

Cheers,
Chris
