Soil definition and overlay problem

Hi,

 

I have an error number 5: "Value does not fall within the expected range".

 

This error box pops up after I have selected my soil code field in the soil dataset, during the soil definition process. The soil shapefile overlays with my watershed fine- following that the next step is a prompt to "Pick field grid code values" which I do- and then the error occurs. Im just wondering if anyone has experienced this and can shed some light on it.

I had the same problem, check your attribute table see the format of your soil code field. if it is in "string" create an other field and set format to "short"
