Hi,

I am a new user of SWAT. I am using ArcSWAT for ArcGIS 10. As I am not using US database, I have to use a custom database. I created a dbf file including my stations name following the instruction of “Weather generator gauge location table” in page 20 of ArcSWAT user guide for SWAT 2009.

When I try to write the input file it shows me the error message “There are no record of station: Book in the static geodatabase" (Book is my station name). If I ignore the message it writes the input tables but later cannot run the model showing another error message regarding wgn file. In the instruction it is written that “Custom weather generator data should be entered in to the users weather stations database prior to creating the project” . So, my question is “ how to create a custom weather generator data and which is the users weather stations database?”

Thanks,

Partha

Hey Partha,

When you try to write the input file, you mean at the "write inpute tables" step with ArcSWAT? If it is the case, did you pay attention to put all the dbf files (location tables and dbf with corresponding values) in the same folder? I think I had troubles because of that.

Partha - Delete the existing  userwgn table from SWAT master database (SWAT2009.mdb), import the dbf file you created into it, and then rename it as userwgn.

Dear Partha,

Its seemingly not working. I have tried the WGN file in the formats as given in the SWAT User Examples with XPR, YPR for the Gauge Locations.
My study area is in Meghalaya, India.

Is there any way to customize the weather generator database as built in SWAT2005,09, 12 etc

Thanks

Romezi

Hello Romezi,
first of all, you have to create your weather station and complete all weather data in the swat2009.mdb (C:\Swat\ArcSWAT\Databases). After that you must have your daily weather tables (PCP, TMP, HMD, WND, SLR and WGN) in a folder. Be very carefully with the nomenclature and headers of the columns data. And create the tables in a new blank spreadsheet. If you want, i can pass you an example of my weather data project.

Hello,

have you tried to use txt files instead of dbf? One of my colleagues had a similar error and text files worked fine.
