Hi SWAT-users,

I am new using SWAT and I have some problem with the weather
generation. Maybe seem very simple for some but I have a data of 20
year and I do not how to integrate to the model. I created the dbf
tables as it is mention in the user manual, but I do not know where to
put all my information.

Thank you your help

Hi, my friend.
You should import the dbf file into the swat2005.mdb database file. Use it to replace the userwgn table in the database.
The swat2005.mdb file is in your swat installation file. You can go to the database file then you will find it.
Good luck.
Regards,
Yunjun.

Yunjun,

Thnak you for your answer and your time, but I thing I did not explain
my problem well. I am creating a new table for SWAT, and I will not
use any information from USA. I have all my data of the weather (Temp,
precip, hum, solar radiation, etc.). Then I follow the user manual and
I creat a new DBase tables by the ArcCatalog. However, when I am
creating the table for example: wind Speed Data Table, I created the
table wnd.dbf. then I entered in the properties of the table and in
the first column i created DATE and WND as say in the table format,
and in the column I gave the field format (mm/dd/yyyy) and float for
the WND.

OK. I have the table wnd.dbf ready, but where I put all my data of the
wind speed??
I need to create another table wnd.txt where should be my data??
As well, I would like to ask you if you know, when you are creating
the DBase table and is a float format it is two fiel properties:
presicion and scale. Do you know what means??

One more time thank you for your time, and your help

Sincerely

Quiro

Quiro,

I have attached a complete set of weather data input files
(Bosch_weather_example.zip) for your reference. As you can see, you
need to have both station location files for each parameter (temp,
wind, precip, etc) and a series of station data files for each
parameter. Follow the formatting I have very closely and be sure file
names are similar to what I have used as well. The reason the solar
radiation station data files are .dbf files rather than .txt is that
the data came from a different source and it was easier to do it that
way. You can see, thus, that the station data files can be in
either .txt or .dbf formats. I think these example files as well as a
reading of the 3 pertinent manuals (ArcSWAT interface, Input-Output,
and Theoretical doc) should answer all of your questions.

Thank you,

Nate

Nate,

Thank you for your help and the files for reference. I almost done
with all my files, but I would like to ask you:
Why in the table of precipitation and others the elevation is -999? I
saw the same in another files.
And finally, I made the files for the location of the precipitation,
temp, etc. but I not sure how to do the weather generator gage
location?? should be all the location of my station together?? I was
looking in another files, but I do not have clear these because I not
using the USA stations.

Thank you for your time
