Hi,

I'm a french PhD student working on climate change impacts on water resources in french watersheds.
My PhD works consists on the assessment of both quantitative and qualitative aspects of climate change impacts.
In this context, I'm working with the SWAT-model to simulate water quality parameters in the future, on a middle size watershed (770km²).
The studied watershed is few urbanized, and mainly located on ignaceous rocks (granitic basement).

My main results :
- runoff is correctly reproduce by the model (NS on monthly runoff = 0.618 and R² = 0.606) : see monthly_runoff.pdf
- Sediment and nutrients (NO3) transport is also correctly reproduced, as well as dissolved oxygen (see water_quality.pdf).
-  But I have not outputs concerning carbon biogeochemical oxygen demand (CBOD) and algae concentration on the river (all values are equal to zero in outputs.sub such as in outputs.wql or outputs.rch).

I have already checked soil parameters such as SOL_CBN, which can influence CBOD concentration, but all of them seem to be in a correct range of values.
And the IWQ and ISUBWQ parameters are equal to 1.

Do you have an idea why are CBOD and algae constantly equal to zero ?

Thanks for your reading and your time

Hi,
Were you able to find a solution to this problem. I am also facing the same issue.

This happens because the ISUBWQ variable in the bsn file is set to zero. However switching it to 1 does make any difference. This means probably that the current version does not support it. Maybe consulting the developers will shed light on this issue.

Good luck.

Dear  Etienne Brulebois

I'm a graduate student from Taiwan.

I saw your DO(Dissolved oxygen) simulation results on SWAT-user group.

I want to calibration DO in SWAT , do you know about  parameters of Dissolved oxygen?

What kind of sensitive parameters should I start with?

Best wish  Chen
