Dear users

What is the role of these 2 parameters in .mgt files :

IGRO: Land cover status: 0-none growing; 1-growing

PLANT_ID: Land cover ID number (IGRO = 1)

Imagine a situation that someone wants to define a crop rotation and land cover is changing during this rotation. What should be set for these to parameters specially PLAT_ID and what will be the effect of it on the results?

Thanks

Sincerely Yours.

Behnam,
IGRO only relates to the first year of your simulation. Do you have a
crop growing when the simulation starts or not? If it is growing when
the simulation starts than IGRO =1, check the io manual Chapter 20,
page 232. If IGRO is 1, you need to indicate what crop is growing:
PLANT_ID, check the io manual Chapter 20, page 232

Dear Willem,
I couldn't find them in the pages you stated. But I read the manual CHAPTER 20 : GENERAL MANAGEMENT . My question still exists.
Imagine I have two kinds of wheat in my rotation ( codes : 27 and 28 ). My first question is this : Can I define a crop rotation in a HRU with land use index of , for example , AGRR or something like it or  WWHT ( code 28 )?
You know my land cover is changing during rotation? What is my land cover index in this situation? What should be PLANT_ID? 27 (=Spring Wheat) or 28 (=Winter Wheat) or 2 ( = AGRR )?
Sorry if I am confused.

Thank you
Behnam

Rotations are covered on page 244 in the manual. It depends on whether
WWHT or AGRR better fits your situation, that is all up to you
