Hello friends,
SWAT model generates huge amount of outputs, which could be analyzed in different ways (e.g. time series data, spatial distribution, model performance, and scenario comparison). You may have your own way to implement the analysis using Excel, R, Matlab or other tools. However, we couldn't find a tool that would has the ability to quickly view the analysis results right after the model simulation without generating extra files and installing other software packages.
So we developed our own tool - SWAT Output Viewer. It's a small .NET application to
- select SWAT components on map, view and modify key SWAT files
- run simulation using different model engines
- display results using thematic map and time series graph
- quickly calculate model performance (e.g. Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency and R2)
- compare any outputs from different model engine or scenario
This tool is a very small stand-alone application. It doesn't required other software packages. And no extra files are generated. All analysis are done on-the-fly.
Hope you find this tool is helpful for your research.
Regards
Michael
