Hi all,

I have run my first SWAT using my case study using 'default' option for rice. And from the result in output file and I found out that the planting date is scheduled during March and harvesting is in Jun. How can I change the crop management dates as in my study (in Malaysia), planting and harvesting are done twice in a year.

Can anyone help regarding this matter? Thanks!

Regards,
Ana Raffar

Try editing your management file (.mgt or whatever it calls, in ArcSWAT it’s called management). In this file you can add management operations.

See the screen shot. The operation schedule is what you need to edit. You will need to check some document to find out the code for your operation. In my screenshot, the operation is to plant a 10 years tree with potential heat unit of 2200 and initial biomass of 13000 when heat unit reaches 0.0%. One of those “1” is year 1, another is operation order “1”, and I can’t recall what’s the other 1. You can do similar things like add a harvest operation after this then following another planting and harvest operation.

Using ArcSWAT will be more straightforward in this portion, and can avoid those confusing operation code number.

Good luck and have fun.
