I am very basic user of SWAT and i built up the model but the textinout folder does not have any files containing .sno, did i miss steps so that they donot exist?

Hello!

It's my understanding that the .sno files are only necessary if you want to vary the snowfall/melt parameters per each subbasin. If you are fine with having one set of parameters for the entire basin then you can use the parameters as listed in the .bsn file. I've never used the .sno files but would guess that you'd need to manually create those (i.e. create a .sno file for each subbasin and type in the correctly formatted parameters as dictated by the swat input documentation).

In "edit subbasin inputs" you check "use subbasin snow parameters" and extent to all subbasins.

Thanks Karim...solved...

Another question:

Another problem, if you see the format of *.sno in (http://swat.tamu.edu/media/69413/ch38_input_sno.pdf), the fifth parameter " SUB_TIMP'  should be written on the 5th line but it (the document) says line 3.

And, when I tried to change the parameter from SWAT CUP, it changes all the parameters till line 4, but not the SUB_TIMP. Why? Is it due to an error that it has to be written in Line 3, and in that case, it would replace SUB_SMFM.

Am I missing something here?

Narayan
