Hello,
I am using SWAT to model watersheds draining to a sampling point. I have a shapefile containing these points, and I have a line shapefile that shows a stretch of stream that drains to these points. I plan to use these line shapefiles to burn into the DEM. I have been running this to create streams.
It has been stuck on D8FlowDir for a bit now.
What is the size recommendations for the DEM? Should the stream networks be connected in order to burn them into the DEM?

FlowDir run times can be long - see the section on large DEMs in the
QSWAT manual.
Flowlines used for burning in do not need to be connected.
