soil water content in swat+

Hi everyone,

I got a general question about the soil water  content (moisture) in swat+ which i haven't found a  satisfying answer yet. It for sure has to be generated, since it is part of calculating the curve number. 

In the output files i only found the soil water (sw) written in the basin_wb file with the unit mm but for my project I only have data in vol% which I want to compare my results with 

Sadly I dont quite understand the actual meaning of mm soil water, so I dont really know how to calculate vol% out of my data. Is it mm/average soil depth and if so, how is the distribution of soil water in soil depth? 

I hope someone here might be able to help with this
