The next SWAT Conference will be held at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Thessaloniki, Greece, in collaboration with the USDA-ARS and Texas A&M AgriLife. The conference has become the most important scientific gathering for international experts and institutions in the field of river basin management.

Call for Papers

 

We hope that you will present your research findings with the model at the conference. Submissions are due online by 1 April. Presenters are required to register for the conference. We are not accepting remote presentations at this conference.

 

Workshops

 

Workshops will be offered concurrently (you may only attend one), both in-person and online 15-16 June 2026. The following workshops will be offered. Visit the conference website for more details.

 

  • SWAT+ Beginner (2 days)
    This is course designed to introduce users to the SWAT+ model, review necessary and optional inputs, and familiarize the user with the QSWAT+ and SWAT+ editor interfaces.
  • SWAT+ Toolbox (2 days)
    This workshop will focus on sensitivity analysis, model calibration, evaluation, and validation using SWAT+ Toolbox.
  • SWAT+ Developer (2 days)
    Dive into the SWAT+ model source code, compile using Codespaces, implement a new SWAT+ routine, test, and exercise the Github workflow.
  • SWAT+ Modelling Workflow in R (2 days)
    This workshop introduces an end-to-end SWAT+ modelling workflow in R, covering project setup, data preparation, model execution, and performance evaluation (calibration/validation).

AFTER 1 April 2026: $350 USD, or $300 for students

 

Workshop both in-person and online:

$200 USD, or $150 USD for students

FREE! Note: we are not accepting remote presentations

 

If you require a visa invitation letter, we are only authorized to issue one if you have an approved abstract or an approved scientific justification for attending the conference. Please contact us before registering if you are unsure.
