Initial nutrient concentration by each soil layer

Hello all,

I have been working on transplanting SWAT2012 info to SWAT+, and encountered a problem.

In SWAT2012, we were able to set initial nutrient concentration by each soil layer, but I couldn't find the feature in SWAT+.

I looked at soils.sol, nutrients.sol, and soil_plant.ini.

nutrients.sol which we can set soil nutrients didn't have any information about the soil layer.

if you have any experience in setting initial soil nutrients concentration by layer, please help me to set it up?

Hello,

It is now impossible to assign different the nutriment levels to different soil layers.

The only nutrient that uses a decay equation to redistribute the nutrient between the layers is carbon.

If there are published decay equations for other nutrients - we would be happy to implement this in the model (especially P)!
