Flooding an HRU Using Routing

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if it's possible to route flow from a stream/channel to a HRU? I am interested in flooding an HRU for my research, and this is one of the methods I am looking into. I used "CTRL+F" to look up "rout" in the SWAT 2012 documentation and also read the SWAT+ documentation on Github, where both links are below. When I read through the documentation, I saw that all of the routing processes happen from the HRUs to the channels with no documentation on the opposite. I might've missed an explanation on this when reading through the documentation, so I'm not sure if this is why i can't find it. Since it isn't a natural process I'm not sure if it is even possible, but I'd like to know.
Right now my other idea is to use a decision table to irrigate an HRU of interest, but I'm not at the point where I can test this yet, which is why I am looking into multiple possibilities.
