Dear SWAT+ folks,

I was just wondering if there is any output file showing the actual crop cultivated in a given timestep.
E. g. in hru342 with the lum "xy" crop "yz" was growing in a given year.

I am setting up a crop rotation routine using probabilities.
This allows me statements like "if corn in last year, plant wwheat with 20% probability or barley with 30% probability and so on" (you are getting the idea).
But of course I would like to be able to see if an hru actually became wwheat or corn or whatever afterwards.

I've already looked up the output_documentation on SWAT+ but could not find such informations.
Is there any output file or other way to give me the desired feature?
Best would be accessable via the QSWAT+ visualization..

Keep up the good work and thanks for any response!
Best wishes,
Max B

Hi,

Interesting idea.

You could find these outputs in "mgt_out.txt" file.

Thanks for the response!

But where can I find or create such an output file?
A "mgt_out.txt" or any "mgt(...)" file is missing in the output documentation.
And there is no option for such a file in the SWAT+ Editor under "Choose Output to Print".

Any ideas?

Best,
Max B

Please look at the below screenshot:

You will have "crop_yld_aa.txt" and "mgt_out.txt", I hope.

Ah here were go!
Box was actually unchecked in my first run.
Thank you so much for the help.

Nonetheless I would say it's rather counterintuitive that these files aren't mentioned in the SWAT+ output documentation.
Maybe they should be included.

Also, you could change it manually in "print.prt".

About the model and SWAT+Editor and documents, I can say that these are under development. But, we can survive with the current version and explore to find new things, hidden things, and errors.

Best,
Mamad
