Dear all,
I have setup swat and swat+ model for simulating hydrological fluxes in a basin of india. I observed that there is vast difference in the precipitation values ( i have used the same weather data in both models), also different water balance ratios. Can anyone suggest the possible cause for this. I am attaching herewith the pics for both the models.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

With regards
Shyam

Hello,

" Can anyone suggest the possible cause for this." --> the cause of this is structurally and methodologically different modeling tools. SWAT+  != SWAT2012.

Best,
Natalja

Hi Natalja,

While I totally agree that SWAT and SWAT+ are different in methodology, but this cannot explain the difference in identical precipitation provided as the inputs to the models unless two different datasets have been introduced to SWAT and SWAT+.

Kind regards
Saeed
