Hello!
My research project is requires modifying field management practices for corn cropland within a target watershed in Vermont. I am trying to use a more detailed land use dataset. Vermont Spatial Analysis Lab (SAL) has a cropland dataset at 0.5 M resolution distinguishing acres for corn, hay, and pasture. The NLCD dataset for the continuous US at 30 M resolution is also suggested.
I resampled both to 10 M resolution and combined prioritizing the VT cropland dataset in areas of overlap. The combined raster was successful but I still have the NLCD classified areas of 81 Pasture/Hay and 82 Cultivated Crops, I am thinking to remove those and try to fill with nearest neighbor or something of the sort, but this would leave big gaps and I am questioning this approach. Does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, or considerations?
Thank you so much!
Liliana
