Spiky flow_out hydrograph

Dear All,

My model output is giving me a spiky hydrograph as shown in the attached image.

I have been trying to calibrate with the cn2 parameter which has reduced the peaks but the spikiness still remains. I experimented with surlag parameter to extend the hydrograph recession but nothing seems to work.

I would appreciate it if someone can help me with the parameters and the direction to go to fix this problem.

Hello,

I know that the parameters "work" a bit differently for swat+ than for swat, hence the same approach will not work. I did not test parameter sensitivity for daily streamflow yet, so my advise is only a guess.

Depending on your watershed location/setup, try approaching lat_co, slope, perco and cn3_swf. Try adjusting those one by one and see what will be the result.
