Weather Data Input

I am new to SWAT modeling and would like to import single pixel/point Daymet or NASA daily weather data for my watershed and use multiple stations to create climate data for modeling but am having difficulties. I can download the data and format as per SWAT+ with a [sb05_pcp.pcp, sb05_tmp.tem, sb05_slr.slr], [sb16_pcp.pcp, sb16_tmp.tem, sb16_slr.slr] etc. file for each station and a pcp.cil, tmp.cil, slr.cil etc for each climate variable.

After reviewing the SWAT+ documentation It's still unclear exactly how I  import this data into the model and use it to generate climate data for modeling. There are "Weather Generator" and "Weather Station" sections in the SWAT+ editor.  If I attempt to import the above in the "Weather Station" section in a SWAT+ format using the "Default/TxtInOut" folder I receive a progress bar indicating "Input Weather Stations" followed by another progress bar indicating " Adding weather stations to spatial connections tables", but then nothing appears on the weather station screen after the progress bar closes. No error warnings either.  Do I need to add these to the "Weather Generator" section instead? It prompts me for monthly climate data for each station? Not sure how to proceed and any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
