Hi

I am trying to calibrate my model and looking for these three parameters but couldn't find it in Editor. Does it mean that they have been removed from SWAT Plus?

1) GW_DELAY
2) TIMP  Snowpack temperature lag factor
3) SMTMP  Snowmelt base temperature

Can anyone inform me if these parameters have been renamed and perhaps included?

Thanks
Som

1) Seems it was excluded
2) tmp_lag in snow.sno file
3) melt_tmp  in snow.sno file

For the 1)  GW_DELAY
you might want to explore the  flo_max parameter in aquifer.aqu

Hello  Natalja,

Thanks for your answer.

I am using SWAT + rev. 60.5.2, QSWAT + 2.0.6, and SWAT + Editor 2.0.4, and I can't find that parameter (flo_max) that you indicate inside the aquifer.aqu file.

I would really appreciate if you could clarify for me what the meaning of the flo_max parameter has, is it similar or equal to gw_delay from swat 2012? in which version of swat + was it incorporated?

Thanks in advance

Hello,
It should be there in 60.1. Maybe it will be bf_max.
You can adjust the flo_min and flo_max (or bf_max) to get a sense of how these parameters work.
 real :: flo_min = 0.        !m          |water table depth for return flow to occur
 real :: bf_max = 0.         !mm         |maximum daily baseflow - when all channels are contributing  <-- this is flo_max

I always look at the version that is in the source code directory of swat+: https://swatplus.gitbook.io/docs/source-code

hi Natalja, thanks again.

I compiled the source code available at https://bitbucket.org/blacklandgrasslandmodels/modular_swatplus/src/master/ (rev. 60.5.3) on Linux, in order to assimilate the bf_max parameter.

I ran this version of SWAT+ with one of the examples available in the same repository (Little_River_Tifton), and manually tested the sensitivity of bf_max, changing the value between 0 and 2.

It turns out that with this exercise I could not see absolutely any change in the flow simulation derived from changing this parameter.

Could you tell me if the version that you work (where you know that bf_max is a parameter that is working) is the same that is in the bitbucket repository?

Sorry for the insistence, but I am currently working on a hydrological model where it is very important to have a good simulation of low flows, and conceptually I believe that this parameter could help to improve the representation of this part of the hydrograph.

Thanks in advance.

Rodrigo

Hi All,
It seems like GW_Delay was excluded.
I also tried changing the bf_max parameter and does not appear any change in the flow simulation.
It is very important to have a good simulation of low flows in my case study too.
Appreciate it if anyone experienced this and have any solution for this.
Thanks
Lasantha
