Very Urgent Help – Water Allocation Issue in SWAT+GWflow

Dear users, I’m currently working with the SWAT+GWflow model and facing serious difficulties with the Water Allocation part, especially in setting up aquifer-fed irrigation. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work properly for me, and I haven’t found sufficient documentation.

If anyone has any notes, advice, examples, or references on how to correctly set up and configure the Water Allocation module within SWAT+GWflow, or if you’ve faced similar challenges and found a solution, I would be very grateful for your help.

Any tips, best practices, or supporting material would be incredibly helpful at this point.

Hi there,

Have you been able to fix your issue and can you share any tips on how to? 

I am running into the same issue that i dont know in the water_allocation.wro file on line 4 what the numbers represent and how to change this to my own study area.  Since my area uses irrigation water externally I dont have to connect it to the gwflow grid cells.
