Dear Swat+ users,

I am trying to check and calibrate my project in SWAT+ toolbox following the videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uN3NtH1jLk) and when I try to insert my observed data for the river flow, it does not load okay, the graph is not shown and the dates taken are not those (see image). I load the csv file following the format required, so I do not know what the problem could be.

Can anybody help me?

Thank you

Hi  Arantxa,

I beileve the issue is that the CSV seems to be missing the headers and there is only one column seperated by a semicolon; try delimitating into two columns.

"" The observation files should be in CSV format with two columns – date (dd/mm/yyyy) and value. The first row is not read and can be used as the row for headings. If you have missing data, use -99 in the place where you have missing data (any negative number should work).""

In Addition to what Taci said, please do not use semicolons as you are using in this case. use comma separated files. and make sure that you do not have double quotes surrounding your lines (I saw this in another case). Just a plain CSV with headers should work.

With regards,
C. James

Thank you both for the help. I do not why when I saved in excel as csv sepparated by commas it saved like this, so I did not notice what you said. Fixing this the problem is solved.

thank you!

Hello everyone,

I am still facing the same issue with observed data with river flow. I have the columns tab separated and it still cannot see my file. Is there something i am doing wrong.

Kind Regards,
Justine

Same here. I am using monthly river flow data. Can you please give a hint on how to fix it?

I solved the problem maybe it can work also other cases.
The id of your main channel can be different in the project text file. In my case, when I checked the channel_sd_month text file I realized the main outlet names are respectively the unit (15), gis_id (131), and name (channel 131). I submitted my observation data as channel 131 before and did not work. When I resubmitted it to the toolbox with the channel name 15. It worked.
