Help with gwflow in QSWAT+ (Copied from SWAT-user group)

I am using QSWAT to make a model of a small mountain watershed with the goal of determining stream outflow during high rain events compared to dry season base flow. I have successfully created a functional model, though the groundwater portion of the model appears to be inactive (channels in my model have zero flow on days without rain). I believe this is because I originally ran the model without the gwflow package. I re-ran the model with the gwflow package but still see many days with zero flow (values like 1E-10 flo_out in m^3/s). What may be causing the model to assign such low baseflow values to my channels?
