Hello all,
I am trying to run a sub-daily streamflow routing.
Pcp data is hourly, the modelled streamflow is also expected to be hourly.
Used routing method: variable storage with green-ampt infiltration model.
my question is, i observe instability in the simulated streamflow.
Could it be due to a numerical instability in the hourly routing ? (CFL number overshooting?)
the precipitation data seem quite coherent so i ruled it out.
Herein attached a figure to display how the streamflow shoots after the year 2009.
this happens in almost every case (despite changing manning's, channel slope. etc).

Thanks
JJ

Hello, i'v seen the same issue.
Are the magnitudes of your simulation correct?

When changing the uhyd parameter in code.bsn and calibrating the parameters in paramter.bsn adj_uhyd and uhyd_alpha, it adjusted quite well, but I'm still having problems with the magnitudes of the simulated flows.

Were you able to solve it?

Hi all,

I'm having the same issue with the flow magnitudes when I try to run the model to obtain sub-daily values. Have any of you managed to solve this problem?

Kind regards,

Maria
