Hi all, could you tell me SWAT+ is still underdevelopment? is it possible to use SWAT+ officially for a project?  or is it better to use SWAT instead of SWAT+?

The latest stable version of SWAT+ is  rev. 60.5.4, released on July 5th, 2022. https://swat.tamu.edu/software/plus/

It is not clear to me what you mean by "officially" using SWAT+ for a project.

Two years ago we decided to replace SWAT 2012 by SWAT+ for a project, mostly because of the ability to represent dynamic land use changes, the addition of landscape units (LSUs), and the full integration with QGIS instead of (the expensive) ArcGIS, among others (https://doi.org/10.1111/1752-1688.12482)

We have faced some issues with the decision tables, and lack of documentation, but all of them have been solved by the development team of SWAT+. So, today, we do not regret that decision.

So, it is up to you...

Regarding your swat plus model, did you use swat+ toolbox for calibration?

In my opinion, all models are "under-development", because of the implementation of new features or bug fixing. For example, the latest version of SWAT 2012 is rev. 684, which was released on July 26th, 2022 (https://swat.tamu.edu/software/swat-executables/), so SWAT 2012 is still "under-development"...

No, we don't use graphical toolboxes for calibration, but we use hydroPSO for single-objective calibration of SWAT+ (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.envsoft.2013.01.004). 

We are also using a multi-objective optimisation tool for simultaneous representation of high and low flows in SWAT+ (https://doi.org/10.5194/egusphere-egu22-9902,https://doi.org/10.1109/LA-CCI48322.2021.9769844 ), but the SWAT+ article is still in preparation....
