I am currently working on a watershed model for the Siletz River basin in Oregon. I am reaching out because my SWAT+ Editor gets stuck during the "Reading SWAT+ output files" step. Specifically, the progress bar hangs at "Importing hru_wb_day.txt," and the software becomes unresponsive.

My study area is relatively large, and I am running a 35-year simulation (1990–2024). I suspect the issue might be related to the size of the output files, but I wanted to confirm if there are known workarounds for this.

Has anyone else experienced this freeze during the HRU data import? Would reducing the output frequency or selecting specific HRUs to print be the best way to resolve this?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Thanks for posting this. Yes, it's likely the size of your file + not enough resources on your local machine causing the freeze.

I will try and make a work around in a future update allowing you to skip importing certain files to the output database. For now, you can re-run your model and un-check printing daily HRU files.
