Hi,

I have successfully calibrated flow for my basin and am now working on a nitrate calibration. I am having some difficulty getting the nitrogen processes to work.

I have set up a corn plant/harvest with high N applied as a Nitrogen stress test, and have also increased other features such as humus mineralization and N fixation, but I do not see these changes represented in the SWAT N cycle check. I do see the total N fertilizer has increased to 37.8, but this is not represented as an NO3 input in the mineral N section. Additionally, I see NAs for nitrification and mineralization, which are crucial to N cycling.

For the landscape nutrient losses, I have successfully been able to increase the NO3 in groundwater, but have rather low surface runoff and 0 NO3 in lateral flow.

Can someone please help me populated the N cycle values, and give me some guidance to increase the NO3 lateral flow? I have gone through most of the options in the editor but can't seem to get it fixed!

Thanks,
Brian

Dear Brian,

I hope this message finds you well.

I also met this problem and don't know how to solve it. Maybe you have already find the solution? Could you please share your experiments about it, that would be very useful for me.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Yinan
