Hello eveyone,
I am currently running a coupled SWAT–MODFLOW simulation using QSWATMOD and have encountered an issue with the recharge values being passed from SWAT to MODFLOW.
After comparing the SWAT outputs with the recharge values written by QSWATMOD for MODFLOW, I noticed that the recharge values used in QSWATMOD are approximately 10 times larger than the recharge estimates reported in SWAT and Groundwater level estimates are also making huge seasonal jumps. This discrepancy appears consistently across the simulation period.
I have attached the relevant output files from both SWAT and QSWATMOD for reference.
I would appreciate any guidance on the following:
Whether anyone has experienced a similar issue where recharge values increase by roughly a factor of 10 when transferred from SWAT to MODFLOW through QSWATMOD.
Whether this could be related to unit conversion, scaling during HRU-to-grid mapping, or recharge variable selection in SWAT.
Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and support.
Best regards,
Gaurav Dumoga
