Hello, I am conducting research on different irrigation scenarios based on coupled model outputs. My subsequent scenarios all involve modifying irrigation measures within the SWAT model's mgt. file compared to the original scenario. My irrigation measures follow fixed schedules based on crop types, with some water sources originating from surface water and others from groundwater.
I will set scenarios based on two aspects: irrigation volume and the ratio of surface water to groundwater. However, after adjusting the irrigation ratio between surface water and groundwater, the groundwater level output from the recoupled model remains identical to before the changes.
Initially searching online, I found references to settings in the swatmf_link.txt file regarding “MODFLOW Pumping --> SWAT Irrigation” and “SWAT Auto-Irrigation --> MODFLOW Pumping.” I would like to understand the function of these two settings and how to ensure that changes to management measures in SWAT are reflected in the coupled model output. I would greatly appreciate your insights on this matter.
Thanks.
