Dear Dr, Abasspour and All swat-cup users.

I did calibration for 3 outlets separately in swat-cup model . after finishing of calibration for all three outlets, I set the Best-parameter values to swat text files As (page 66 of manual calibration), After that i have copied all text files from swat-cup directory to ARC SWAT directory for one outlet, then rewrite the swat input files and run the model. But after all these process when i compared the simulated with observed the result was same like before calibration. what is wrong in the process, please shade light about it.

Also please guide me that i have to do same for 2 other outlets in the watershed.  i do it because the 3 outlets that i have calibrated is located in upper sub basin, not in the watershed outlet , so i need to see the whole watershed hydrologic values like (Surf Q, ground water Q, water Yield etc.). please guide me, what to do .

I don't know if i understand what you are doing! But from what i gather you transfer the calibrated files to arcswat directory and from arcswat run rewrite? Clearly this is going to rewrite the original parameters back  into the swat files. Why do you want to do this?

Thanks Dr, Abasspour for your reply.
please see the attached file of the outlets and watershed outlet.

Actually i want rerun the Arc SWAT model after the calibration and want to set the obtained best_par.txt  into Arc swat  to change the original database (Output.mdb)  and see the Average monthly water balance components in the outlet of my watershed.

Thanks for your time and comments.

If you do general change for all parameters, then it is possible to manually update you mdb databases. But if you use any of the criteria such as soil, slope, subbasin number etc., then this is not possible.

You may be using different swat versions, this is why you get a different answer.

I don’t know about QSWAT’s mdb files. Perhaps the same as above applies.

Subject: Re: Copy Calibrated parameters back to Arc SWAT model ?

Hi, this is exactly what I want to do.

I try to manually modify these best parameters in model.in (in the SWAT-CUP folder)  to ArcSWAT database.

However, I got the different result with the best_sim.txt by SWAT-CUP.

I also wonder to know how to copy the calibrated parameters in SWAT-CUP to ArcSWAT or QSWAT project (actually the mdb).

Plz let me know if you have the right answer.

Thx.

Thanks Dr. Abbaspour,
Yes, you are right and I am sorry for my mistake in manually updating the calibrated parameters to mdb database.
Because in SWAT Editor programe, the operator op is "Multiply by" rather than relative change in SWAT CUP, which means r__CN2.mgt  0.1 has to be 1+0.1 in SWAT Editor program.
Another way to modify the mdb database is using SQL to update directly in Access.

Thank you again.
Best wishes,
Liangjun
